The management and effective use of sensitive areas
In collaboration with the”Collège d’Entrepreneurs du Paysage” (an association of landscape managers) GEODE is able to meet the needs of your projects to efficiently use and maintain sensitive areas (natural conservation areas, listed sites, zones within Natura 2000 etc…) areas with restricted human or mechanical access (photovoltaic power plants, very steep land etc…).
In line with a commitment to sustainability, and we do all we can to support your work with our rare breeds or breeds with a small national flock. In the context of the conservation and development of these breeds, we help our members to become breeders. In this way we promote biodiversity.
Reduction of greenhouse gases
Feedback from our members who are committed to eco-friendly pastoral management demonstrate the ability of certain breeds to maintain and make optimal use of all types of land ( chalky or poor land, wetlands, etc…), clearing ground, opening up waste land and maintaining it, tackling invasive plants, protecting certain historic buildings against erosion caused by vegetation and stimulating the establishment or reappearance of botanic species and small wildlife important to the ecosystem.
The introduction of animals onto pasture stimulates the aeration of the soil and minimizes noise pollution by eliminating the need for mechanical grass cutting.
